The
Medicare Abdominal Restraining Belt includes an articulated system to let the
patient turn on to either side, sit up, and sit on the bed. This is a common
method for the purpose of Psychiatric restraint. The abdominal belt can be
easily installed before or after the patient has gone to bed. The lower part -
with subjection bands - can be fixed to the bed or stretcher frame; the upper
part has to be placed around the waist of the patient. The lateral restraining
bands must always be applied and used and are intended to prevent the patient
from rotating around the axis of the belt.
Lateral
sewn band - Improves the security by preventing the patient from spinning
around.
Available
to use in different widths of beds.
Reinforced
padded edges - Increases the patient's comfort.
The
eyelet holes are ultrasound sealed and the stainless steel eyelets are highly
resistant to tear.
